Monthly Meeting Plans

Our monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month (except for August when we have our club picnic instead) at:

Refreshments 5:30-6:00pm, Meeting 6:00-8:00pm
Cost:  The annual family membership is $15

Upcoming Meeting Plans for Feb. 2012

Our next club meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 6:00 pm at Treeline in Provo (1221 East 1120 South). We are planning on having a demonstration by a guest, however if they are unavailable we will have an open carving night & our mini-workshops (like last month). Please bring your tools & a project to work on.  If you would like help with a project, there will be plenty of people there who can give you some assistance.  Or just come and see what others are working on and get some ideas.  We're here to help each other and have fun together with something that we like to do.

2011 Annual Club Picnic

In August, in lieu of our regular club meeting, we will be having our annual club picnic for club members & their families.
It will be held at Payson City Park (same location as previous years--pavilion on east side of park--approx. 300 South 200 East)
on Thursday, August 11th at 6:00 pm. The club will provide the main dish as well as the utensils, plates, napkins, cups, and ice,
but we would ask that you each bring something to share.
 

Please see the list below for suggested food assignments:

If your last name begins with:

A-C - Please bring 2 Liter of Soda & Potato Chips 

D-G - Please bring Dessert

H-I – Please bring Baked Beans or other side dish

J-K – Please bring a Pasta or Potato Salad

L-P – Please bring Fruit or Jello Salad

R-Z – Please bring Green Salad w/Dressing

We will also have a table setup for you to display your carvings, so don’t forget to bring them!

Open carving night w/ 5 ongoing classes offered.
  • Chip Carving – Tim Higginson
  • Basic Beginning Carving – Susan Hendrix
  • Wood Burning – Gina Burrnett
  • Gourd Carving – Mary Hokanson – Power tools required, dust collector strongly suggested
  • Small Bird Carving – Royann Baum – Power tools required
The only cost is for materials.  If you want to just visit and carve on something you have been working on that would be fine too or if you need help with something there will be plenty of people available to help you and give you suggestions
